"Her name is Raine. But if you allow me, first, I'd like to have a little conversation with you.
Do you know the Amethyst's myth..? .....No? So let me tell you, it won't take long. The story tells that one day the god of wine, Dionysus, was seriously raged by of some insults from a mortal man. I don't know what he said to the god, but it drove him relly mad. ....So... What he did with the guy you ask me? Nothing, but he decided he would take it out on the next human that crossed his way. By fate's hands, at that moment, a beautiful maiden called Amethysta was by her way to Diana's temple.. and of course, the path crossed the same one as that one you're thinking about. The god, blinded by his injured pride, summoned his tigers to attack the young lady. Diana listened to her cry and came to give aid to her. Fortunately, before the animals could kill her body, she turned the girl into a sheer crystal statue. When Dionysus finally saw the beauty and purity of the being he was just about to destroy, only because his nonsensical wish, he felt terribly sorry. Touched by that scene, he cried and his wine coloured tears stained the quartz turning it to violet. For centuries, amethyst has been seen as a protection gem. They say that if you hold anything made of this stone, you'll never be poisoned, intoxicated or drunk. Superstition or not, I have an advice for you, my friend: always aim her amethyst eyes when she is nearby. Don't pay attention to her sweet voice, block her energy, keep yourself the more lucid you can and never watch her closely. Her sweet face may mislead you and her poisoning scent may involve you so hard that you'll never be able to smell anything else but that. There was never a man who did not fall for her grace... ...And no one that have ever reached it." Tools: Photoshop CS2 and a crappy pen tablet. Time: About 40 hours. (Yeah, I'm still learning. ¬¬ Hope I can do things quicker in future.) *Sorry people, my notebook is completely disturbed. ¬¬ Now I see the colours are RIDICULOUS. If I find any motivation I'll work again on it. This one is shining too much on normal screens. Copyright 2008 Áilin Chuen So - All Rights Reserved. My only complaint is the arm holding the glass is a bit thin at the forearm but apart from that the picture is perfect.
